The Great Fish Day - everybody is invited to a sea food buffet – nobody has to pay
The Great Fish day is an annual festival in Dalvíkurbyggð held the first or the second Saturday in August. Fish producers and other members of the society invite guests to a sea food buffet between 11:00 and 17:00 at the harbour in Dalvík.
Whale Watching from Hauganes in Eyjafjörður
Niels Whale Watching is a small, privately owned whale watching company located only 20 minutes drive north from Akureyri. It is the oldest whale watching company in Iceland. Our whale watching tours depart from the local harbour in Hauganes and the whales are often only 10-15 minutes away from the harbour.

Skíðafélag Dalvíkur er stofnað í nóvember 1972. Það var Jón Halldórsson sem var frumkvöðull að því að reisa skíðalyftu í Böggvisstaðafjalli. Hann fékk í lið með sér áhugasama menn og gengu þeir í hús og söfnuðu fé til að reisa hana. Bæjarfélagið greiddi það sem upp á vantaði.
